Dr. Anne Hockmann

Postdoctoral Researcher

I completed my PhD at the University of Münster in 2025, where my research focused on understanding solvation structures and ion transport in localized high-concentration battery electrolytes. Along the way, I developed expertise in rheology, electrochemistry, molecular dynamics simulations, and a range of spectroscopic techniques, including NMR, impedance, and Raman spectroscopy. During my master’s studies, I spent five months at Uppsala University in Sweden, where I focused on ion transport mechanisms in polymer electrolytes for my master’s thesis. I really enjoy working in collaborative and interdisciplinary environments and am particularly interested in understanding transport processes at a fundamental level. Furthermore, I’m motivated by contributing to the development of more sustainable and climate-friendly energy technologies.
