Ph.D. Student
I studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Applied Science in Aachen in a dual system in cooperation with the Saurer GmbH & Co. KG, where I worked as an Engineer in the R&D department. For my bachelor’s thesis I moved to their R&D-office in Suzhou, China, for 6 months and created practical concepts for a new tube gripping system for the spinning machine Z71/Z72. After my bachelor’s degree I chose to focus on mechanical product development within the master’s program of the University of Applied Science in Aachen and finished it with a thesis about creating theoretical concepts for masts for starting and landing at SkySails Group GmbH. After two interesting years as an Engineer in the institute and beeing responsible for taking care of the mechanical parts of the institute, I decided to start as a Ph.D. Student here.
