In many cases in magnet construction and coil design, it becomes necessary to map certain parameters such as field strength or coil parameters (coupling, B1, …). Your task in this project is to build a 3D positioning system based on a DIY 3-axis stepper platform (e.g. 3D printer, CNC router) and provide a solution to conveniently scan with it (e.g. with a gcode or python interface)
Furthermore, a Hall-Sensor needs to be calibrated and assembled on its PCB. Example field maps of a Halbach and our Low-Field system should then be performed, as well as simple coil characterization.
